On the 6th of May, 2023, my son George made his First Holy Communion at St. Patrick’s Church in Milltown. It was a beautiful day filled with excitement, joy, and special moments. Yet, when I look back, I realize how many of those moments went uncaptured.
As a mother, I was deeply involved in the day—helping with preparations, making sure everything was perfect for George, taking care of my family, and welcoming our guests. In the midst of it all, I barely had time to take photos. I only appear in two family pictures that my friend kindly took. I have just a handful of shots from the church and a few from our celebration at home. So many precious memories slipped away because I was too busy being present for my child rather than behind the camera.
