On the 20th of May, 2023, I had the honor of documenting Maja’s First Holy Communion, a truly special day for her and her family. The preparations began early at her home in Cavan, where the atmosphere was filled with excitement and love.
Maja’s mother took care of every detail, from styling her hair to helping her into her stunning white dress adorned with delicate accessories. Her younger sister, Kaja, was also by her side, adding to the joy of the moment. With the closest family gathered, the morning felt intimate and heartwarming, despite the earlier rain.
Once Maja was ready, we all headed to the picturesque grounds of St. Patrick’s College in Cavan for some family photos. The recent rain had left the greenery glistening, providing a perfect backdrop for capturing memories. The family’s smiles and Maja’s radiant joy made every shot a treasure.
The highlight of the day was the beautiful Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, Castletara, Co. Cavan. The church, with its serene ambiance, was the perfect setting for this sacred occasion. Surrounded by her loved ones, Maja took this important step in her spiritual journey with grace and poise.
